Evaluation of Covid-19 Triage Assessment Scale in Patients Attending the Emergency Department

Objective: To predict SARS-CoV-2 PCR positivity on the basis of symptoms and contact history individuals who attend emergency department
 Methods: The data for study which was a prospective-methodological type were collected from 503 patients attended department hospital with suspected Covid-19 between 02 January - 15 March 2021 given Polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test. Covid 19 Visual Triage Scale (VTS) questionnaire used collecting data. Distribution socio-demographic interpreted in frequency, percentage. Independent samples t-test chi-square test to compare quantitative Cut-off value scale determined. In study, sensitivity specificity tested through scoring adopted based real time result.
 Results: According test, 67% negative while 33% them positive. VTS, 55% found be 45% Validation resulted 0.65 AUC 82% using cut-off >4. its comparison detect 93 positive 204 patients. Self-reported fever, cough, sore throat, loss taste smell confirmed case strong predictors detecting Covid-19(p
